E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial remains one of the most beloved science fiction films ever created.
Released in 1982 and directed by Steven Spielberg, the unforgettable story of Elliott and the stranded alien E.T. quickly became cinema history.
New E.T. 40th Anniversary PEZ Gift Set Now Available
Twenty years after the movie’s original release, PEZ secured the E.T. license and introduced the first E.T. PEZ dispensers to both Europe and the USA back in 2002.
Now, to celebrate the film’s 40th anniversary, PEZ Candy Inc. has released a brand-new E.T. anniversary gift set.
The collectible set includes mini versions of the classic E.T. dispensers and is now officially available online in the USA.
At first, many collectors hoped PEZ might create completely new molds for the anniversary release.
Unfortunately, PEZ decided to reuse the original 2002 mold designs instead.
Still, collectors are now carefully comparing the mini dispensers to the originals and hoping for at least slight color variations between the 2002 and 2022 versions.
Even without new molds, the mini E.T. dispensers are still fantastic additions and will definitely look wonderful displayed alongside the original full-size E.T. PEZ releases.
