Today was the day!
New Princess Aurora PEZ Arrives
The new PEZ Flamingos were officially released online by PEZ today.
At the same time, collectors could also order:
* Eevee
* Luigi
* The new Santa
* And — to everyone’s surprise — a brand-new version of Princess Aurora
Big compliments to PEZ Candy Inc. for so many exciting releases at once.
I was lucky enough to already find the new Aurora today in the supermarket and of course immediately compared her with the older Aurora version.
Basically, I love every new PEZ release, but honestly, I’m still a little undecided about this new Aurora.
She is definitely prettier than the older version, but her head and upper body feel a bit too small compared with the other princesses.
The crown and necklace are also difficult to see and probably would have looked better highlighted in gold.
Overall, she almost looks more like Aurora’s little sister rather than the princess herself 🙂
Of course, if PEZ plans to redesign the entire princess series in this style, then the smaller proportions might make more sense in the future.
Otherwise, I’m not completely sure how popular this version will become among collectors.
But of course, this is only my personal opinion, and everyone will soon be able to decide for themselves.
