Sadly, social distancing quickly became a new part of everyday life in 2020, and with that came the cancellation of many major events around the world.
Sweets & Snacks Expo Cancelled For 2020
The latest major event officially canceled is the Sweets & Snacks Expo in Chicago, Illinois.
For PEZ collectors, this is always one of the most exciting events of the year because it is usually where we first get a glimpse at the future PEZ lineup.
Together with the ISM Fair in Cologne, Germany, the Sweets & Snacks Expo is one of the biggest sources for upcoming PEZ news and future releases.
For the last several years, PEZ also created a special event-exclusive dispenser for the Expo, which of course now leaves collectors with many questions.
What will happen to the special 2020 dispenser?
Will PEZ save it for 2021?
Will it appear online instead?
How will collectors get to see all the new upcoming releases?
With many movie releases also being postponed, we are now wondering what this means for all the movie-themed PEZ dispensers planned for 2020 and 2021.
We are also thinking about the PEZ team, who always put so much creativity and effort into building the amazing PEZ booth every year.
Hopefully there will still be a way for collectors to experience everything virtually.
But for now, the most important thing is simple:
