KPop Demon Hunters is a 2025 animated film by Sony Pictures Animation, produced for Netflix. The story follows the fictional K-pop girl group Huntr/x, who secretly live double lives as demon hunters while facing off against their rivals, the Saja Boy, a boy band hiding a dark secret of their own. Released globally on June 20, 2025, the film quickly became a worldwide hit, earning praise for its animation, visual style, humor, voice cast, and especially its music. The soundtrack was equally successful, reaching top chart positions internationally, including No. 1 on the German album charts.
By September 2025, KPop Demon Hunters had become Netflix’s most successful title ever, with the film, soundtrack, and hit songs such as Golden receiving over 100 award nominations and winning multiple major honors, including two Golden Globes, a Grammy, ten Annie Awards, and two Oscars.
From Netflix Sensation to Collector’s Case
We’re especially excited to see that PEZ has secured the KPop Demon Hunters license. Considering the film only broke records last year, it’s impressive how quickly PEZ, and how well, the concept, dispenser designs, and artwork have been developed and brought to life. From our side, that deserves a big round of applause!
This October, collectors can look forward to the KPop Demon Hunters Gift Set, featuring the characters Rumi, Mira, Zoey, and Derpy. The gift set will launch first, followed by a broader assortment later on, though, unfortunately, it will initially be available for now only for our PEZ collector friends in the U.S.
There’s also a good chance we’ll get our first look at the new dispensers at the Sweets & Snacks Expo 2026, taking place from May 19–21, 2026, in Las Vegas. We’re genuinely thrilled, this move is a fantastic step for PEZ and could open the door to an entirely new audience.
Now the only question is: can October come any sooner?
