Celebrating 3 Years of PEZPALZ: Our Very Own PEZ Dispenser!

Every special story has a beginning, and every journey has its own history.

I firmly believe in destiny. I believe that things happen exactly the way they are meant to happen.

Three years ago, on March 24, 2013, Krissy published her very first post on the PEZ Palz Blog.

Neither of us could have imagined where that moment would eventually lead us.

How PEZPALZ Began

Through a simple PEZ trade, Krissy and I connected on Facebook.

What started as a casual conversation about life, the universe, and of course PEZ, quickly developed into something much more meaningful.

A very special friendship was born, one that felt more like family than friendship, like brother and sister united by a shared passion.

Krissy wanted to experience the European PEZ Gatherings through my eyes, and one day she suggested that I write a few articles for the blog, sharing stories and experiences from the gatherings I attended across Europe.

What began as a fun little project soon turned into something much bigger.

One day Krissy asked me if I would like to become an official partner and part of the blog.

Without hesitation, I said yes!

We could have never dreamed that our blog would grow to attract tens of thousands of visitors from around the world.

Despite living thousands of kilometers apart, we spent countless late-night hours working together to build what PEZPALZ would become.

Building Something Special

Our goal was never simply to create another PEZ news blog.

We wanted to build something special—a place where collectors could read about PEZ Gatherings and conventions, enjoy interactive games, participate in exciting contests, and win unique PEZ prizes.

Many of you will remember adventures such as Bubble in Trouble, Flying to the Moon and Back, and Bride Fever.

We created pictorial guides, collector resources, and annual traditions like voting for the Favorite PEZ of the Year.

Everything we did was inspired by our love for the hobby and by the incredible PEZ community that supports us.

Today, after three unforgettable years, we are proud to be known around the world as the Bunny & Skull PEZPALZ Team.

Our Greatest PEZ Surprise

And because it was our 3rd Birthday, we believed it deserved a celebration worthy of the occasion!

Today we want to share something that absolutely made our hearts glow.

This is a day we will never forget.

Today was the greatest PEZ day of our lives!

We were completely freaking out because…

PEZ International created our very own PEZPALZ PEZ Dispenser!

As many of you already noticed, it was another “Lovey” Emoji dispenser from the special European Convention Series produced by PEZ for Gathering Hosts throughout Europe—and now for us as well.

Our dispenser officially became the 16th and final release in the European Convention Series.

It was produced in a limited edition of only 200 pieces.

The PEZPALZ Lovey Dispenser

We chose a striking red stem featuring our website address, PEZPALZ.BLOGSPOT.COM, printed on the front.

On the back, we were honored to include our names, PEZ Ghosty and PEZ PAL Kristian, forever becoming part of this incredible piece of PEZ history.

But if you know us, you know we couldn’t stop there.

We wanted to make this release even more special.

For our dispenser, we commissioned a beautiful collector’s box featuring breathtaking artwork designed by our incredibly talented friend, Joey Kenney.

And honestly…

WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

Each Lovey PEZPALZ dispenser came with a complimentary collector’s box, limited to just 190 pieces.

Every box was individually numbered and included a matching sticker.

To clarify, PEZ did not produce the boxes or stickers—these were custom-made exclusively for this project.

Why Only 190 Boxes?

Now you may be wondering:

“If there are 200 dispensers but only 190 boxes, what happened to the other 10?”

The answer is very simple.

We wanted to keep a few loose dispensers for ourselves, whether for photography, display purposes, or simply as treasured pieces in our personal collections.

Five remained with Krissy in the USA, and five stayed with me here in Austria.

The Disco Inferno Contest

So now you’re probably asking the most important question of all:

“How can I get one?”

Well… you know us!

We were looking for truly creative entries because our brand-new Disco Inferno Contest was officially underway!

And yes, our PEZPALZ Lovey Dispenser was one of the prizes.

Completely free. Zero cost.

We even covered the shipping!

But that wasn’t all.

Throughout the following year, we planned several exciting opportunities for collectors to add this special dispenser to their collections.

Because at the end of the day, it’s all about the joy, friendship, and love of PEZ collecting.

Special Thanks

We want to express our deepest gratitude to someone very special.

A heartfelt thank you goes to Gabi M. from PEZ, whose support made this dream project possible in the first place.

Thank you, Gabi. We love you! Always and forever!

We would also like to sincerely thank Joey Kenney for creating the incredible artwork and design that brought our vision to life.

Your creativity is truly inspiring, and we hope you never stop sharing it with the world.

YOU ROCK, JOEY!

Today we are overwhelmed with happiness, gratitude, and excitement.

Thank you all for being part of this incredible journey.

Happy Collecting!

Editor’s Note (2026)

A quick note for our readers:
This post was originally written in 2016, and the Disco Inferno Contest is, of course, long over.
While we don’t currently have a contest running, you never know what we might come up with next!
Be sure to visit PEZ PALS again soon—we always have something fun, interesting, or collectible waiting for fellow PEZ fans.
