PEZ × Hapidanbui Collection Keeps Growing in Japan!

The first time we spotted the licensed PEZ × Hapidanbui collection was in November 2025, when the exciting collaboration between the iconic candy brand PEZ and Sanrio appeared as part of the fashion and accessory line from ear PAPILLONNER.

The collection featured six beloved members of Sanrio’s popular Hapidanbui group, each reimagined in an adorable PEZ-inspired design:

* Badtz-Maru – the mischievous penguin
* Hangyodon – the lovable blue fish boy
* Tuxedosam – the stylish bow-tie-wearing penguin
* Keroppi – the cheerful green frog
* Pekkle – the charming white duck
* Pochacco – the energetic and sporty puppy

For PEZ collectors and Sanrio enthusiasts alike, it was love at first sight!

The Hapidanbui Collection Continues to Expand

In April of this year, the collaboration expanded with the release of the PEZ × Hapidanbui Ball Chain Mascots.

These miniature figures, complete with hanging ball chains, were offered in two different formats: a capsule (Gacha) version and a blind-box edition.

Fans quickly embraced the collectibles, eager to complete the full set of characters.

Not long after, another wave of merchandise arrived in Japan.

This time, the adorable PEZ-style Sanrio mascots were transformed into practical and stylish carabiner keychains, adding yet another must-have item for collectors.

The overwhelming popularity of the PEZ × Hapidanbui designs in Japan comes as no surprise.

The combination of classic PEZ aesthetics and Sanrio’s beloved characters has created a unique and irresistible collection that continues to attract a growing fanbase.

Will We Ever See Real Hapidanbui PEZ Dispensers?

And the collaboration is far from over!

New PEZ × Hapidanbui products are now appearing across Japan, including insulated cooler bags, tote bags, cushions, and a wide variety of handbags.

The collection keeps growing, giving fans even more ways to showcase their love for both brands.

We have been enthusiastic about this collaboration from the very beginning.

There is just one thing we are still hoping for: all six Hapidanbui characters as actual PEZ dispensers!

Even if such dispensers were released exclusively for the Japanese market, we would not hesitate for a second. They would immediately find a place in our PEZ collections, and we would gladly import them from Japan to make that dream complete.

For now, we can only admire the creativity of the PEZ × Hapidanbui collaboration and keep our fingers crossed that real dispensers may someday become a reality.
