As if on cue, our fellow PEZ collectors in Japan are once again being treated to some fantastic new PEZ merchandise. This time, the lineup includes a variety of highly collectible items: PEZ shopping bags, PEZ umbrellas, plush keychains, and even PEZ phone pouches, perfect for fans looking to add something a little different to their collections.
Exclusive PEZ Prizes Hit Japanese Arcades
What makes this release especially exciting is something we haven’t seen in Japan for quite a while: these items will be available as prizes in crane game machines from late March through May. Crane games in Japan—often referred to as UFO Catchers, are hugely popular arcade machines found in game centers. They offer high-quality prizes such as anime figures, plush toys, and snacks, and are known for their skill-based gameplay. This makes them a unique and often challenging way to get your hands on exclusive merchandise.
We would absolutely love to try our luck at these machines ourselves, but for now, we’re cheering from afar, wishing all our fellow Japanese PEZ fans the best of luck mastering the claw and snagging one (or more!) of these fantastic new PEZ merch items. For collectors outside Japan, this could make acquiring these items even more difficult, adding an extra layer of rarity and appeal to the hunt.
