When we first revealed the official PEZ 100th anniversary logo to you in mid-September, the reactions were mixed, and there were certainly a few critical comments at first.
For us, however, that exclusive first look was reason enough to create something new on the PEZ Pals Blog!
We introduced a brand-new feature with its very own dedicated section, bringing together all the important news, announcements, and exciting stories surrounding PEZ’s 100th anniversary.
Our goal? To give you, our fellow PEZ collectors, one place to follow every step of the journey as we count down to this incredible milestone in PEZ history!
From the First Logo to the Big Announcement!
Then, just two weeks later, on September 26, the PEZ 100 Facebook page was launched, and it immediately caught everyone’s attention!
Suddenly, the big question on every PEZ collector’s mind was: What kind of event is PEZ planning for its 100th anniversary? What could be coming our way, and what surprises were waiting to be revealed?
With everyone eagerly trying to figure out what this historic celebration would look like, the logos and images shared on the new Facebook page almost became a side note.
The American version of the logo, featuring the additional words “100 Years of Smiles,” and the image of a standing mascot holding colorful balloons were certainly exciting first glimpses.
But with everyone’s attention focused on the big mystery surrounding the upcoming event, these first anniversary visuals almost went unnoticed. We were all eager to find out what PEZ had planned for this very special milestone!
Just three days later, the big announcement finally dropped!
PEZ 100 Excitement Goes Into Overdrive!
In an exciting video, Shawn, Landon, and Morgan officially unveiled the plans for the PEZ 100th anniversary celebrations, including the announcement of a PEZ convention and guided tours of the PEZ factory!
And that’s when things really went into overdrive!
Suddenly, speed was everything. Collectors rushed to secure their places, and before anyone could properly catch their breath, the convention was SOLD OUT, the factory tours were fully booked, and the host hotel rooms were gone.
Who could have expected that? Not even the organizing team had anticipated such an overwhelming response!
We’ve been following the developments closely, and you can read all about the announcements, the booking rush, and the ongoing efforts to accommodate as many PEZ Pals as possible in our new PEZ 100th anniversary section.
The organizing team is working hard to arrange additional hotel rooms at another property and work through the waiting lists, hoping to make this once-in-a-lifetime celebration possible for as many collectors as they can.
One thing is already crystal clear: the excitement surrounding PEZ’s 100th anniversary is absolutely incredible!
What Else Has PEZ Been Planning?
Looking back at how quickly everything has unfolded, it also makes us realize something important.
While we were all busy keeping our eyes open for the next exciting PEZ releases, a whole lot of planning must have been taking place behind closed doors.
A milestone like this doesn’t come around every day, and an anniversary celebrating 100 years of PEZ certainly doesn’t come together overnight!
It’s becoming increasingly clear that PEZ has been working on something truly special for quite some time.
And if these first announcements are anything to go by, we may only be seeing the beginning of what’s in store for 2027!
An Exclusive First Look at the PEZ 100th Anniversary!
Of course, while watching the video Shawn, Landon, and Morgan shared from the PEZ Visitor Center, something immediately caught our attention!
Take another look at the three of them, and you’ll notice they were wearing a brand-new lanyard around their necks, complete with a matching badge.
Naturally, our collector instincts kicked in immediately!
Whenever something new appears in the PEZ world, we want to take a closer look. And when it has anything to do with the upcoming 100th anniversary, you can be sure we won’t miss a detail!
We tried taking screenshots and zooming in as much as possible, hoping to get a good enough look to share the details with all of you.
Unfortunately, the image quality just wasn’t good enough to give you the clear view we wanted.
But today, we have something really special for you!

100 Years of Smiles!
And perhaps it’s time to admit that even some of those initial critics might be looking at the anniversary logo a little differently now!
With its bright colors, cheerful balloons, and playful mascot, the design captures the colorful, joyful world of PEZ perfectly.
What may have divided opinions at first is gradually finding its way into collectors’ hearts. After all, a celebration of 100 years of PEZ should be colorful, fun, and full of smiles!
And that’s exactly what this anniversary is all about: celebrating a century of PEZ, the dispensers we’ve come to love, and the worldwide collector community that makes this hobby so special.
But Wait… What About a Special PEZ 100th Anniversary Dispenser?
Now that we’ve seen the new lanyard and badge for the first time, one thing immediately comes to mind.
Designing, planning, and producing items like these takes time. It shows us that a great deal of thought is going into the anniversary preparations, and that makes us even more curious about what else might be waiting behind the scenes.
Because let’s be honest, fellow PEZ collectors…
Can you really celebrate 100 years of PEZ without a special anniversary dispenser?
Of course not!
And now the big question is: What is PEZ going to pull out of its hat for us in 2027?
Will the Visitor Center offer its own exclusive dispenser? Could there be a special online release to mark the 100th anniversary?
Just imagine what PEZ could have planned for such a historic occasion!
The possibilities are endless, and that’s precisely what makes this so exciting.
As collectors, we all know that a new dispenser can be thrilling enough on its own. But a dispenser created especially to celebrate 100 years of PEZ? That’s something that would make the anniversary even more memorable!
Naturally, we don’t expect PEZ to reveal all its secrets just yet.
Keeping us guessing is part of the fun, and we’re sure the team wants to preserve those unforgettable “WOW!” and “I didn’t see that coming!” moments for when the surprises are finally unveiled.
For now, all we can do is speculate, share our ideas, and wait to see what PEZ has planned.
