A Holiday Gift for PEZ Employees
For the 2023 Christmas season, PEZ International created something truly special that was never intended for store shelves.
As part of the company’s holiday celebrations, PEZ produced an exclusive Snowman dispenser that was distributed only to employees.
The dispensers were given to staff members at PEZ headquarters in Traun, Austria, as well as employees working at the PEZ factory in Hungary.
At first glance, the dispenser appears identical to the classic Snowman PEZ that many collectors already own.
However, a closer look reveals what makes these versions so extraordinary.
Two Countries, Two Greetings
Employees in Austria received a Snowman dispenser featuring the German holiday greeting:
Frohe Weihnachten 2023
Employees in Hungary received a version printed with:
Boldog Karácsonyt 2023
Both greetings were printed in black on the stem, creating two unique employee-only variations.
The dispensers were packaged on standard Christmas PEZ blister cards, making the customized stems the key distinguishing feature.
A True Collector’s Rarity
These special Snowmen served as a heartfelt thank-you from PEZ to its employees for their dedication and hard work throughout the year.
Only a very limited number were produced, and because they were never sold to the public, very few collectors are even aware that they exist.
Should either version ever appear on the secondary market, interest would likely be tremendous due to the dispenser’s rarity and unique history.
Most collectors may never have the opportunity to add one of these elusive Snowmen to their collections, but discoveries like this are exactly what make PEZ collecting so exciting.
