Will the PEZ Candy Mascots Return?
Alright, fellow PEZheads, let’s rewind to May 2019 when PEZ introduced its very first Candy Mascot at the Sweets & Snacks Expo.
Limited to just 1,000 pieces, the adorable little mascot immediately captured the hearts of collectors everywhere. It wasn’t just a new mold, it quickly became an instant PEZ classic.
Back then, none of us could have imagined what would follow. By October 2025, PEZ had released an incredible 25 different Candy Mascot dispensers, and many collectors found themselves constantly rearranging their display cases to make room for the growing lineup.
So… Where Did the Mascots Go?
It’s now been nearly a full year since the last Candy Mascot joined our collections, and collectors have definitely noticed.
The questions have been pouring in:
* Did the mold break?
* Did PEZ run out of ideas?
* Did our sweet little mascot simply take a vacation?
After receiving countless messages from collectors, we decided to do a little digging ourselves.
Some Good News… And Some Bad News
Unfortunately, it appears that a new Candy Mascot release is not currently on the immediate horizon.
Because PEZ Online Exclusive dispensers require extensive planning and production time, several future releases are already scheduled and in development. At the moment, it appears that other dispenser concepts have taken priority through 2026.
The good news? It’s not because PEZ has run out of ideas. The Candy Mascot line simply appears to be taking a well-deserved break.
A Return for PEZ’s 100th Anniversary?
The rumors we’ve heard suggest that the Candy Mascots could return around 2027, which happens to coincide with PEZ’s 100th anniversary celebration.
If that’s true, PEZ may be saving something very special for one of the biggest milestones in company history.
Until then, this might be the perfect opportunity to track down any mascots still missing from your collection and complete your lineup.
And if your Candy Mascot collection is already complete, sit back, dream a little, and imagine what exciting surprises PEZ may have planned for the future.
