Christmas Pikachu PEZ Gets a New Holiday Card!
Just when you thought you had your Christmas Pikachu PEZ collection all wrapped up, here’s another little surprise for collectors!
We’ve come across an updated Christmas Pikachu PEZ card design labeled for 2026, and when compared side by side with the original 2024 holiday release, there are some interesting differences!
Sometimes it’s not a new dispenser that catches our attention, but the packaging it comes on. And this is a perfect example of why collectors should always take a second look!
Let’s Take a Look at the Differences!
The Original 2024 Card
Back in October 2024, Walmart and PEZ brought us a festive Pokémon Pikachu dispenser wearing a Santa hat, complete with a red stem decorated with candy canes and the words “Happy Holidays.”
The special holiday blister card featured a large PEZ logo angled across a red-and-white background, decorative snowflakes, a candy cane in the upper-left corner, and an adorable illustration of Pikachu wearing his Santa hat.
Now take a look at the newer card shown in our comparison!
Gone is the large diagonal PEZ logo. In its place is a more traditional horizontal logo running across the upper portion of the card, with “Candy & Dispenser” printed underneath.
The familiar PEZ Candy mascot emblem appears in the upper-left corner, replacing the candy cane artwork.
And don’t forget Pikachu! The festive illustration remains part of the design, but the overall presentation has been updated.
It’s All in the Details!
For collectors who enjoy keeping their PEZ dispensers mint on card, packaging variations can be just as interesting as the dispensers themselves.
The comparison shows a noticeably different card design, although the 2026 retail release status still needs confirmation.
We love discovering these little changes, especially with holiday releases. What might seem like ordinary packaging to someone else can be another interesting addition to a PEZ collection!
So PEZ Pals, which Christmas Pikachu card do you prefer?
Are you a fan of the original 2024 design, or do you prefer the cleaner, updated look?
And if you’ve spotted the newer card in stores, we’d love to hear where you found it!
