The Story Begins: AUSTRIA CONNECT China 2024
AUSTRIA CONNECT China 2024, held in Hong Kong from October 24–26, 2024, is one of the most important networking and business conferences organized by ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA, the international trade promotion organization of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO).
The event brought together approximately 150 executives, business leaders, and representatives of Austrian companies from China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.
Representatives from Austrian embassies, consulates, and trade offices also attended the conference.
The primary goal of AUSTRIA CONNECT is to strengthen business relationships, encourage cooperation, and create new opportunities for Austrian companies operating throughout Asia.
Why This Matters to PEZ Collectors
As many collectors know, PEZ is proudly headquartered in Traun, Austria.
With Asia, and particularly Japan, representing one of PEZ International’s most important markets, the company became more than just a supporting partner of the event.
For AUSTRIA CONNECT China 2024, PEZ created a very special and highly exclusive dispenser.
Just yesterday, we introduced the new Austrian red-and-white PEZ Candy Mascot. For this event, PEZ produced a unique variation featuring a special ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA / WKO stem print.
A True Collector’s Rarity
What makes this dispenser so remarkable is its rarity.
Only a very small number of these dispensers were produced and distributed exclusively inside gift bags given to conference participants.
Because of this extremely limited distribution, it is unlikely that many examples will ever make their way into the hands of collectors.
